K&H Excavating handles the heavy ground work that changes how a property can be used. That includes building new ponds, dredging ponds and lakes that have filled with silt, clearing land, and tearing down structures that have outlived their purpose. We work out of Rosedale and take jobs across west central Indiana and into eastern Illinois.

Ponds and lakesA well-built pond can water cattle, hold fish, draw in wildlife, or just give you a place to sit at the end of the day. We dig new ponds and reshape existing ones on farms and acreage around Rosedale. We start with how your land lays and what you want the pond to do.
Ponds and lakesPonds fill in over time. Runoff carries soil and organic material in, and the water gets shallower every year. Dredging removes that buildup so the pond holds more water again. It's often the difference between restoring a pond you already have and digging a new one.
Ponds and lakesLakes face the same problem as ponds on a much larger scale. We take on lake dredging projects that can run for weeks, removing built-up sediment so the lake keeps its depth and shape. If you manage a private or community lake that's getting shallow, this is where to start.
Ponds and lakesMany lakes have silt ponds upstream that catch sediment before it reaches the main body of water. Those ponds only work if someone cleans them out. We offer silt removal and scheduled maintenance for silt ponds, so lake owners and managers don't have to wait until a pond is full to deal with it.
Land and sitesWe take on demolition for commercial and agricultural properties. That covers concrete, old outbuildings, and larger structures that need to come down and be hauled away. We have the trucks to haul debris off-site, so you're not left with a pile after the building is gone.
Land and sitesOur land clearing is built for larger ground: wooded acreage, overgrown fields, and property you want to put back into use. We clear with excavators and dozers rather than skid steers, which lets us handle trees, stumps, and heavy brush on bigger parcels.

Land and sitesSome projects just need dirt moved, and a lot of it. Our general excavation work covers digging and earthmoving on rural and commercial properties. We do not trench for utility lines or septic systems.
